The Goalie Lab Training Philosophy

With 40 years in lacrosse and 30 years of coaching goalies, I have learned what works when helping goalies develop.

What Works

• Helping goalies gain confidence by improving their mechanics and fundamentals

• Breaking down the most minute details of playing the position so that every goalie trained is met with success

• Goalies learn by watching themselves.  That is why video analysis is a key component of Goalie Lab trainings

• Developing the "entire" goalie - That means working on clearing the ball, stick-work, playing the position as part of a defense, helping understand how to deal with failure and how to turn failure into improvement.

• Giving goalie "keys" - concepts and ideas that help them improve on their own personal deficiencies.

Goalies DO NOT improve when "coaching" them equates to throwing them in a goal and pumping them with hundreds of shots without reminding them of their keys.
